Art as Existential Expression: Themes and Philosophy

WHAT IS ART? A universal question, at once simplistic and complex. Contemplation of art requires contemplation of life, involving the ways in which human beings seek to make meaning of human existence. Subjective creation of self. Creation of objects we call art. Human life, while finite, yields limitless possibilities, but no hope of an ultimate answer. Hope lies in the process, the journey and the ways in which we share ourselves with one another.
